Since 1978, Ohio Pet Foods has been manufacturing high quality pet foods for both domestic and international customers and is an EU (European Union) certified facility. OPF (Ohio Pet Foods) is a privately held corporation specializing in high quality, special formulation, and private label pet foods. Also, by the summer 2008, OPF will have a state of the art private label custom pet treat production facility.
Since January 2002, none of OPF’s pet foods have contained beef or beef by-products. All poultry and other meat proteins are purchased from vendors on the basis of quality – not price – to ensure that all our pet foods meet our own high quality standards. In addition, due to consumer perception, OPF products contain no soybean meal and are preserved with natural mixed tocopherols (Vitamin E) and have proteinated (chelated) minerals.
In addition to our own brands, Master & Pet and Makin’ Trax, Ohio Pet Foods specializes in custom formulation and private label (OEM) pet foods. Our production process is handled by a customized Anderson extruder and pre-conditioner. We also employ a unique batching system capable of handling an unlimited number of raw materials. OPF offers considerable flexibility in this area, with an on-hand inventory of over one hundred different ingredients including many meat protein sources.
Our 50,000+ square foot facility has an annual production capacity of over 20,000 tons. We constantly monitor each production lot and all orders must meet our quality standards before being released for shipment.
OPF currently employs 28 full- and part-time associates in three departments; management & sales, production and maintenance. Our staff can assist with formulation, labeling, and package design.
OPF offers a full range of high quality, specialty products including Super Premium dog, cat, and ferret foods. We also manufacture Premium dog, cat, and horse treats.
Ohio Pet‘s facility is easily accessible to interstate highways 70, 76, 77, 79, 80, 90 and Ohio Route 11.
